Hello and happy Saturday. Today we have a quick post, sharing some photos of Water’s opening reception. The reception was held at the gallery on Friday, July 20th, from 5 to 8pm. The turnout was great- one of our best attended openings since we began offering contemporary prints. Gallery friends, regulars, and collectors stopped by to view the show, and we welcomed many new faces- some who had read about the show in the local papers, and others who saw the crowd inside the gallery and decided to check it out for themselves.
The conversation surrounding the art was stimulating, and the show very well received. With Water, we were excited to introduce new artists, like Peter Milton and Clare Romano, to the gallery walls, as well as promote some of our local DC printmakers. We would like to thank all of our visitors for stopping by that night, and we hope to see them again for the opening of our September show, Su-Li Hung and Richard Sloat: 40 Years Together in Art, which opens on September 21.
And a very special thanks to Pfc. Brandon Groom, for his great photographic coverage of the event, and for allowing us to share his images here on the blog.
